In any of the above cases, you pay the first instalment fee of AUD330 as a base application charge, while for the additional applicants who are 18 years and over and under 18 years, the charge is AUD179 and AUD80 respectively.

Where the Contributory Parent Temporary (subclass 173) visa is held more than 28 days before you apply for the subclass 143 visa and your case is considered under the compassionate and compelling reasons, the  Australia Parent visa Cost to pay as the first instalment is AUD2, 415 as the base application charge, while for the additional applicants who are 18 years and over and under 18 years, the cost is AUD1, 210 and AUD 605.

For all other applicants who do not fall under the category mentioned above, the visa cost is AUD3, 770 payable at the time of the application. The charges for additional family members 18 years and over and under-18 years are AUD1, 270 and AUD640.

The second instalment of the Australia Parent visa cost has to be paid based on the following applicant type:

  • Where you possess a Contributory Parent Temporary (subclass 173) visa when applying for the subclass 143 visa, you were under 18 at the time of the application of subclass 173 visa, and you are lodging the application for the subclass 143 visa as a child or stepchild of an applicant for this subclass 143 visa, then the second instalment is nil.
  • You held a Contributory Parent Temporary (subclass 173) visa earlier but now hold a substituted subclass 600 visa while applying for the subclass 143 visa, you were under 18 at the time of the application of subclass 173 visa and you are lodging the application for the subclass 143 visa as a dependent child or stepchild of an applicant for this subclass 143 visa. In such a case, the second instalment is nil.
  • Where you are the dependent child, who is under 18, of an applicant for the subclass 143 visa and you are applying for the subclass 143 visa, then the second instalment of the Australia Parent visa cost is AUD2,095.
  • You were the holder of the Contributory Parent Temporary (subclass 173) visa earlier, and the compelling and compassionate circumstances are considered to be satisfactory by the Minister to allow you to still be the holder of the subclass 173 visa. Then, you need to pay AUD17, 545 as the second instalment.
  • You hold a Contributory Parent Temporary (subclass 173) visa at the time of applying for the subclass 143 visa, or your subclass 173 visa ended in the 28 days immediately before you apply for the subclass 143 visa, or held a Contributory Parent Temporary (subclass 173) visa earlier but now hold a substituted subclass 600 visa while applying for the subclass 143 visa. If any of the three cases mentioned applies to you, then you need to pay the second instalment charge of AUD19, 420.
  • In case of all other applicants, the second instalment cost is AUD43, 600.

There are also other costs incurred like those for the police certificate, health examinations and biometrics.

Contributory Aged Parent (Residence) Visa  Subclass 864 

This visa helps you to stay permanently in Australia; however, the Australia Parent visa cost for the subclass visa 864 is paid in two instalments. The first instalment is paid at the time of the application of the visa, and the charge varies based on the applicant types given below:

  • Where you had applied for the Aged Parent visa (subclass 804) before July 1, 2003, and withdrew the application to apply for the subclass 864 visa, then the Australia Parent visa cost the first instalment is nil.

  • You held a Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) subclass 884 visa earlier but now hold a substituted subclass 600 visa while applying for the subclass 864 visa, you were under 18 at the time of the application of subclass 884 visa and you are lodging the application for the subclass 864 visa as a dependent child or stepchild of an applicant for this subclass 864 visa. In such a case, the second instalment is nil.
  • Where you are the dependent child, who is under 18, of an applicant for the subclass 864 visa and you are applying for the subclass 864 visa, then the second instalment of the Australia Parent visa cost is AUD2, 095.
  • You were the holder of the Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) subclass 884 visa earlier, and the compelling and compassionate circumstances are considered to be satisfactory by the Minister to allow you to be the holder of the subclass 884 visa still. Then, you need to pay AUD16, 545 as the second instalment.
  • You hold a Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) subclass 884) visa at the time of applying for the subclass 864 visa, or your subclass 884 visa ended in the 28 days immediately before you apply for the subclass 864 visa, or held a Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) subclass 884) visa earlier but now hold a substituted subclass 600 visa while applying for the subclass 864 visa. If any of the three cases mentioned applies to you, then you need to pay the second instalment charge of AUD19, 420.
  • In case of all other applicants, it is AUD43, 600.

Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) Visa Subclass 884

The Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) (Subclass 884) visa helps you spread the costs of your Australia immigration over a few years by applying for it first before the permanent subclass 864 visa. The first instalment is however paid at the time of the application, and the cost depends on the following applicant:

  • For all other applicants, the cost is AUD29, 130.
